BAD APPLES
07:09”, 2024BAD APPLES, collaboration with Beatrice Vorster.
‘BAD APPLES’ uses the iconography of the apple, imagining it as an actor caught in the cross section of power and desire. The film examines the rationalisation of the ‘bad apple’ which removes institutional responsibility while negotiating the technologies of power and subordination. Our adolescent female protagonist is positioned at a moment of decision: resistance or passivity.
