Shortly after portraying Louise in Rohmer’s Full Moon Nights (1984), Pascale Ogier passed away from a heart murmur attack. The term evokes a whisper-like sound replacing the heart’s usual rhythmic beats. Louise, always rushing, is torn between Paris’s bustle and the outskirts’ comfort. In a fleeting pause, a silent game of conflicted hands reflects her turmoil. But whose voices contaminate her mind? Recently, Pope Francis approved changing the Lord’s Prayer from “Lead us not into temptation” to “Do not let us fall into temptation”, avoiding the notion that God permits evil. Nonetheless, he reminds us to train our ears…
